Subject: what's the big deal?
I know I know, Furthur involves some members of the Greatful Dead. I streamed this show because it was the #1 most downloaded in the last week. My verdict as a non-GD fan / non-dead head? No big deal. This show recording is pretty good. no real audience sound. However, the actual music just was some noodling and dead-style jamming. not really my thing, and I can't see why they are just SO popular online and in real life. Nostalgia for the 70's GD days? People who were 18 and had a great trip following the band now who are mid 50's and have important jobs that pay well enough for good seats at these large venue shows? I know Furthur will continue being a powerhouse on archive.org, but it just won't be for me.

From start to finish the boys produce. The beginning of the Abbey Road songs in Come Together, a rockin Cream Puff War and monster 2nd set. And I've yet to meet a Golden Road that I didn't like. Just like the Celts of old, Furthur had some great team chemistry tonite. To me Phil is right up there with Larry Bird and Bobby Orr, but only one of those 3 is still suiting up for the game. Happy early 71 Phil, you are truly the man. If you haven't seen these guys yet, you should. Bnoly

Subject: GREAT show
The audience was so much a part of this show....AM Dew blew me away, but Crazy Fingers was surprisingly bittersweet for me! Hard to hear anyone but Jerry doing this. I was suprised at how emotional it got me(and I actually I really digging JK)....'Life may be sweeter for this, I don't know.See how it feels in the end.May Lady Lullaby sing plainly for you. Soft, strong, sweet and true...

Subject: Morning DEW
Missed the first set due to traffic. Doesnt matter, everytime I listen to the Dew I feel like im floating. Good job fixing the buzz.

Subject: A great welcome back!
Hi All, this was my first Dead-reincarnate show ever after seeing a few shows with Jerry towards the end of his run. I loved it. The music was fabulous as was the audience. I paid to download the soundboard because I missed the Morning Dew and Help-Slip-Franklin's to catch the T back to RI for an early flight out in the morning, but this audience recording really captures the spirit! I'm glad they resolved the buzzing issue at set break - seemed like it was distracting Bobby a bit! Thanks for the absolutely competent recording - I was just a few rows back and to the right!

@ JPM67.....You're 100% right about the Boston Music Hall where the Dead played now being the Wang. I looked it up a few years ago and had to look again. The Orpheum was actually the Boston Music Hall at one point, but closed in 1900 and later opened under another name. The Wang Theater was called the Music Hall from 1962 to 1980.

Another case of learning something new every day!! Peace
